I'm No Ordinary Girl is a story close to Destiny's heart and her current work-in-progress novel.
Story Blurb:
I'm No Ordinary Girl is about a fifteen-year-old girl named Samantha Taylor. She may look like an ordinary teenage girl, but she doesn't feel like one due to her rare bone disease and the terrifying dreams she has been having. When she sleeps, she sees a girl who is in the hospital and looks pale as a ghost with tubes coming out of her limbs.
Samantha and her parents must move to Center City Charlotte, so Samantha can get the medical care she needs. There Samantha learns that the woman who haunts her dreams is the mayor of the city. She also discovers a family secret: magical abilities run in her family. Samantha must fight the forces of evil to save herself and the world in which she lives.
Destiny hopes to finish writing I'm No Ordinary Girl by the end of the year so she can publish it at the beginning of 2023.

The Story of Lady Sapphire: A Short Story
The Story of Lady Sapphire is a young adult fantasy short story Destiny published in Coffee House Writer's Fiction Anthology in December 2020.
Story Blurb:
Lady Jane Sapphire-West is the daughter of Queen Madelina and King West. Jane's parents are the royal family of the Kingdom of Evergreen. Queen Madelina is ashamed of her daughter due to being born with skin deformities. Due to Jane being born different, she is not allowed to attend classes and attend princess training like her sister, Cecily. Lady Sapphire is mistreated due to her disability, and it causes her so much anger. The King and Queen of Evergreen believe they must always look their best and behave a certain way. Because of their beliefs, Queen Madelina focuses her daughter to drink a magic potion that makes Jane's skin deformities disappear. Ms. Ruby, the family's caretaker, warned Queen Madelina that magic comes at a price. Lady Sapphire has drank the magic potion since she was a little girl, and this time the magic turns her into something evil.
