Basic Proofreading
$25 per 10,000 words
Read through the manuscript for spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.
Detailed Proofreading
$30 per 10,000 words
Proofreading manuscript for narrative voice, character's dialogue, tense changes, and inconsistencies regarding character's names and story's plot.
Read through writing for spelling, punctuation, grammar errors, and inconsistencies.
Editing Services
Full, detailed edits. Covers grammar, typos, punctuation, repetition, inconsistencies, character development, and light plot development. Preferred genres: YA/NA Fiction - Fantasy, contemporary romance, dystopian, cozy mysteries, light science fiction. Will not edit stories in the horror genre or poetry.
Micro-Editing
$40 per 10,000 words
Micro editing; entails correcting the text for appropriate language, including grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, clarity of expression, and consistency (both language and visual consistency).
Macro-Editing
$50 per 10,000 words
Macro editing looks at the whole story from beginning to end to see if the story makes sense, the characters are consistent with their personality, the plot structure is set up properly, and functions to push the story forward.
Full-Detailed Editing
$60 per 10,000 words
Reading and editing manuscripts for grammar, spelling, character development, world-building, and plot.
Editing Shorter Works
$35
Reading and editing shorter pieces of writing (10,000 words and below) for grammar, spelling, inconsistencies, repetition, character development, world-building, and plot.
*All editing and proofreading require 50% down payments paid via PayPal invoice. *All payments must be made before final files are delivered to the author. *One sample chapter will be edited/proofread for a minimum fee upon inquiry to determine if the author and Destiny want to work together. *Destiny reserves the right to refuse projects.
